Detecting a leak in the kitchen of the Royal Palace (‘koninklijk paleis’) in Laken

In February 2008, Cibor nv was contacted to detect a leak in the Royal Palace (‘Koninklijk Paleis’) in Laken. For more than one year, a serious leak had been detected in the water pipe, however the cause could not be found. On 28-03-08, a team of leak technicians used, for example, an extremely sensitive infra-red camera to detect the leak in the kitchen (see photo).

It took the team less than 2 hours to solve the mystery.

A royal service!
